For 10 years, the EAGE Student Lecture Tour has given students the chance to gain a greater insight into their industry field as well as the opportunity to further integrate into the Geoscience and Engineering student communities and network with industry professionals.

GeoTeric's Dr Gaynor Paton will be joining the tour to help students realise that there are many options out there, both between different disciplines and within the area being studied, as they look towards their career move or next qualification.

Her talk 'Colour Perception and its Role in Seismic Interpretation: a Geological Expression Story’ tells us all about the latest approach to seismic interpretation, and encourages students to learn 'not to trust what they see and to question their assumptions'.

A full interview with Dr Paton talking about her involvement with the EAGE SLT can be found here

Her next stop with the tour will be Universiti Teknologi Petronas followed by Australia and Beijin later on in the year- remember to check back from more updates
