Geoteric innovators Webinar | February 12 | 1pm | ⏲️ 30 Mins

Dr Öz Yilmaz, renowned industry Geophysics pioneer and innovator, reveals how Geoteric AI Fault Interpretation helped to uncover the hidden strike-slip geometry of the North Anatolian Fault System (NAFS) beneath the western Marmara Basin, Northern Türkiye.

This study has gained increased importance following the devastating 2023 earthquake in southeastern Türkiye near the Syrian border. The Marmara Basin, located in close proximity to Istanbul, remains a region of concern for future earthquakes.

Area of Investigation

Could Geoteric AI help with the prediction of future earthquakes?

During the webinar, attendees will discover:

- How Geoteric AI revealed an unprecedented amount of structural detail in the NAFS

- If there have been small changes in mapped faults, laterally and vertically increasing earthquake risk to the area

- How the study would not have been possible without the use of Geoteric AI
