Can AI agents work together across different companies for faster, better decision-making?

Geoteric innovators Webinar | October 21st | 1pm BST | ⏲️ 30 Mins

Dr James Lowell, Chief Innovation Officer at Geoteric presents the next webinar in the Geoteric innovators series.

The webinar will include a joint project between Geoteric and SINTEF, demonstrating how Geoteric’s solutions for AI-based interpretation of seismic data can be connected with simulators from SINTEF via AI agents, enabling users to move more quickly from geological interpretation to dynamic models of how fluids move through the reservoir.

Can AI agents bring geophysicists, geologists and reservoir engineers together in one workflow?

During the webinar, attendees will discover:

- How Geoteric’s seismic interpretation capabilities connect with SINTEF’s reservoir simulator

- How an agent bridge turns interpretation outputs into a simulation-ready case

- How agents can build, validate and rerun workflows across different systems

- How flow diagnostics can support rapid pre-screening before a full simulation

- What cross-company agent collaboration could mean for the future of subsurface interpretation

Geoteric and SINTEF develop joint AI agent platform for better subsurface decisions

In summer 2026, a new platform based on open standards made it possible to connect seismic interpretation directly with reservoir simulation. The goal of the project was faster, better decision-making for energy companies - and more systematic management of uncertainty.

Geoteric and SINTEF entered into a collaboration to demonstrate how specialised AI agents can work together across software, disciplines and vendors. The platform shows how Geoteric’s solutions for AI-based interpretation of seismic data can be connected with simulators from SINTEF, enabling users to move more quickly from geological interpretation to dynamic models of how fluids move through the reservoir.
