With licencing rounds already open this year and others to follow suit, a lot of work is underway now in anticipation of unlocking untapped reserves and maximise recovery.    

One area in particular is the Norwegian Continental Shelf.  Estimated to launch in the spring, the Awards in Predefined Areas (APA) provides operators and explorers the chance to explore near existing fields and infrastructure with the aim to unlock undeveloped potential.

Developed together with operators in Norway, validate is a non-specialist tool designed for advanced interpretation.  With the ability to take prospect screening forward quickly and efficiently; validate offers a solution to test confidence levels through forward modelling, verify findings and quantify results with real data.  Spectral decomposition is taken further, de-risking target development opportunities by testing the effect of different rock properties on synthetic seismic and integrated frequency RGB blending.
